Rhode Island Wedding Group (RIWG) is an association of established wedding professionals devoted to connecting couples with high-quality service providers and connecting industry professionals with their ideal clients through networking, collaboration, and education.
About Membership
Membership is limited to two companies per wedding specialty (with the exception of venues) to ensure quality and to simplify choices for our couples.
To be considered for membership, professionals must meet the following requirements:
Four years in business/experience (in their applying category).
Be a full-time wedding industry professional
Be fully insured and licensed according to industry laws and standards.
Conduct a substantial amount of business with Rhode Island clients and vendors.
Must attend two member meetings prior to applying

HOW ARE APPLICANTS CHOSEN?
Applications for membership are reviewed by our membership director who presents the applicant to the board of directors.
ARE ALL APPLICANTS ACCEPTED INTO THE RIWG?
No, applicants are screened based on our criteria of professionalism, products/services, experience and reputation. We are dedicated to maintaining our balance of passionate and experienced wedding professionals.
WHAT IS THE COST?
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
IF I KNOW A RIWG MEMBER, DOES THAT MEAN I AM AUTOMATICALLY ACCEPTED?
No – we will continue to use the same standards of assessing membership qualifications as we always have. We will also rely on the personal experience of a referring RIWG member or an in-person interview to assess those qualifications.
WHEN ARE MEETINGS?
Bi-Weekly on Tuesday mornings from 9:15 to 11:15 AM meeting at different locations.
