Membership is limited to three businesses per wedding specialty (with the exception of venues,  caterers, and planners)  to ensure quality and to simplify choices for our couples.

To be considered for membership, professionals must meet the following requirements:

• Three years in business/experience (in their applying category) with the exception of limited categories. Contact us to learn more.
• Be a full-time wedding industry professional with the exception of limited categories. Contact us to learn more.
• Be fully insured and licensed according to industry laws and standards.
• Conduct a substantial amount of business with Rhode Island clients and vendors.
• Must attend two member meetings prior to applying

If you meet these categories, we welcome you to apply to become a member!

1. A prospective member may attend two meetings as a visitor. Please connect with our Membership Director upon your visits. After your second meeting, we ask that you complete an application and submit a $100 application fee (payable by cash or check to RI Wedding Group), which our Board will review.
   
2. The Board will then begin the review process and contact the member once that process is completed.
   
3. Once the application has been reviewed and all references have been checked, the applicant will be scheduled to present their business to the general membership at the next meeting.
   
4. After the applicant’s presentation, an anonymous vote will be conducted by the general membership, and a majority yes will result in the applicant being accepted into the RI Wedding Group. We look forward to meeting you soon!
